James Wilhite – President/Owner

Mr. Wilhite received his Bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Horticulture with a minor both in Business and Biology.  He has accumulated 38 years of experience, with 35 of that operating Wilhite Landscape.  He personally enjoys anything outdoors, crafting his own wine and beer, and traveling as well.

John Braun – Landscape Manager

Mr. Braun has been a landscape designer and department manage for Wilhite Landscape for the past 22 years and has been in the Landscape industry since 1979. He is also active in the TNLA serving as Secretary for Region 3.  He is also very active in several ministries with his church.  Mr. Braun draws from his many years of experience to create beautiful, relaxing landscape settings for our clients and his goal to create long-lasting relationships through professional, reliable service. John, his wife Dawn of 29 years, and 2 daughters have lived in the Tyler area since 1991.

David Ansley – Chem-Shrub Manager

Mr. Ansley graduated from John Tyler High School to continue his education at TJC for Business Management. In addition, he received certification with the International Society of Arboriculture.  David has a total of combined experience of 20 years, with the later part here with Wilhite Landscape.  His passion is woodworking.  He grew up with his father building items with his hands and found it to be amazing with unlimited potential.  Mr. Ansley started with small projects such as bird houses and eventually tackled larger projects such as furniture pieces.

Dorothy Featherston – Assistant Office Manager

Mrs. Featherston was born and raised in Tyler, TX.  She attended TJC where she studied accounting.  Her overall experience has accumulated to 18 years. She has been with Wilhite for just a short time with anticipation of many years to come.  She loves the Lord, her family, helping others, gardening, reading, & animals, most importantly horses.

Sharon Hipp – Office Manager

Mrs. Hipp graduate high school in Ft. Worth and then attended TJC along side her daughter in 2003.  She was born in England but has been a Texas since 1976.  Her administration career adds up to 30 years in the field, primarily in the DFW area.  She moved to Tyler in 1995 when she originally joined the Wilhite team.  She left for a number of years, but is back in our office and is delighted that Mr. Wilhite still has cats to work with.  Mrs. Hipp adores her many grandchildren, likes to read, and has recently become a lover of RV camping.

Brad McCullough – Irrigation Manager

Brad has been in the irrigation industry for 33 years.  His first irrigation job was working for the City of Mesquite as a helper learning the trade from the ground up during summers and in between semesters from college.  Brad started full time in the industry at a supply house in 1987, continuing in wholesale distribution until 2018.  Brad joined Wilhite in June of 2019, and brings his valuable product knowledge to our team and to our clients.  Brad spends most of his spare time following the various local sports in our area.  He is a devout Texas Longhorns fan and loves to travel.

Ronald Hill – Landscape Designer

Mr. Hill is a Tyler native and graduate of John Tyler High School & Tyler Junior College, where he earned his Associates Degree in Horticulture.  He continued his horticultural studies at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches.  He has been involved in various aspects of the horticultural industry for over 35 years.  Ron is a Texas Master Certified Nursery Professional and Texas Certified Water Smart Professional.  He and his wife Jo Anna have 3 beautiful daughters.  He enjoys spending time with his family and his pets, watching sports, trying out new restaurants, and watching movies.

Adriane Lawless – Maintenance Manager

Adriane was born and raised in Midland, Texas.  Her passions are horticulture and horses.  She is an equestrian, and in her younger years was a champion show-jumper competing in shows around the country.  She remains involved with the horse world volunteering her time for The King’s Reign, a non-profit organization using equine therapy to help victims of domestic and family violence.  Ms. Lawless received her Master Gardener Technician Certification from Texas A & M University.  She joined the team at Wilhite in 2019, starting on a landscape crew but quickly promoted to manager of the maintenance division.  Adriane is an avid outdoor and nature lover and especially enjoys spending quality time with her grandbabies.

Rosie Parker – Administrative Assistant

Rosie was born in Southern California, a true ‘California girl’.  Her youth was spent in La Jolla, Idaho, and Seattle.  After being an Amtrak sales agent, Rosie and her son moved to Texas.  For many years, she was Program Coordinator for the ReHabitat Division of Habitat for Humanity of Smith County.  Rosie schedules the crews and keeps our maintenance teams ‘firing on all cyclinders’.  She is currently attending Tyler Junior College studying Sociology.  Rosie enjoys walking the park trails and painting in her spare time.  She is a lover of all art history and architecture.
